For talents

You've been invited to take the Aivy test. What now?

First things first: you can't fail here. The Aivy test isn't an exam with a pass mark. It shows which strengths you bring and how well they fit a particular role. What counts for nothing in one job can be exactly the advantage in the next.

How it works

There's nothing to prepare. A link and a few minutes – that's it.

Open the link

You get the link from the company. Nothing to install, no account needed. Aivy is built for the phone; tablet and laptop work just as well.

Short assessments

Each assessment takes 2 to 3 minutes. How many there are is up to the company – most of the time you're done in 5 to 15 minutes. You don't have to do it in one go.

Keep your result

It works without an account, too. With a free account your strengths profile stays yours – so you don't start from scratch with your next application.

What Aivy measures

Aivy doesn't look at a single number, but at four levels. It was developed as a spin-off of Freie Universität Berlin, and the methods follow the standards of DIN 33430.

Abilities

How you approach tasks: concentration, logical thinking, memory.

Personality

Your traits according to the Big Five model – the best-evidenced personality model in psychology.

Interests

Which activities draw you in – and which tend to slow you down.

Work environment

Where you work well: more structure or more freedom, more team or more on your own.

Do you need to practise?

Short answer: no. There's no score to crack.

What's measured is the fit between you and a specific role. Answering the way it seems to be expected doesn't move the result up – only away from who you are. And at best it lands you in a job that doesn't suit you.

Being nervous is normal, and you're not alone in that. It's not a knowledge test, there's nothing to have studied, and there are no trick questions.

What helps: a quiet quarter of an hour and honest answers.
No prior knowledge needed: nothing from school is tested.
Breaks are fine: you don't have to do it all in one go.
No time pressure: beyond the 2 to 3 minutes per assessment, no clock is running.

If you'd like a feel for what Aivy is like beforehand: you can create your strengths profile for free – no invitation needed, and you get to keep it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fail the Aivy test?

No. There's no pass mark. What's measured is the fit between your strengths and a specific role. For a different role, the same profile can be an excellent match.

How long does the Aivy test take?

Each assessment takes 2 to 3 minutes. How many are used is up to the company – in most cases you're done in 5 to 15 minutes. You don't have to do it in one go.

Can I practise for the Aivy test?

There isn't much to practise, and it wouldn't help: there's no score to reach. What helps most is a quiet quarter of an hour and honest answers. Putting on an act doesn't improve the result – it only shifts it away from you.

Can I take the Aivy test on my phone?

Yes, that's what it's built for. Tablet and laptop work just as well.

What does the company see of my results?

A strengths profile with your traits and the fit to the role. No raw data and no details on age, gender or background – Aivy never factors those in.

What happens to my data?

Processing is GDPR-compliant and the servers are ISO 27001-certified, located in Frankfurt am Main. Details are in the privacy policy and the terms of use.
