Data Protection

Here at Aivy, we take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat it confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy. This privacy policy applies to our app on iOS, Android and web.

In this statement, we explain the nature, purpose and scope of data collection and data processing in the context of your use of our app. We recommend that you read our statement carefully so that you can make informed decisions about how we handle your data. We collect and process your personal data only with your consent.

If anything is unclear to you or you have any other questions about this privacy policy, please email us at

I. What data we collect and why.

When you use our app, we collect some personal data from you. The collection and processing of this personal data is necessary for us to provide you with the functionalities of the app. Specifically, we collect and process data that you either enter directly or indirectly through your use of the app. In some cases, we ask you for access rights to device functions in order to optionally facilitate certain inputs. When you use our app, we collect the following data from you with your consent:

Demographic Information.

When you first use the app, we may ask you for demographic information such as your age or current employment status. This information is necessary so that we can tailor the functionality of the app specifically to your needs.

Optionally, you can also provide additional demographic information, such as your gender or ethnicity. This information helps us ensure that our app functions in a non-discriminatory manner. This information is voluntary for you and does not limit the functionality of the app if you prefer not to provide it.

Challenge Results Data.

In order to reflect your strengths and potentials to you, but also to make suggestions for suitable careers, jobs and companies, we collect and process the result data of the challenges in our app. Optionally, voice input is possible for individual challenges, for which we ask you for access rights to your microphone for the respective case. The voice input can be processed as an audio file or transcript.

Applications and Communication

Optionally, you can apply directly to companies for suitable jobs via our app. You can also manage the communication for the application via the app. In addition, you can optionally upload photos and videos to support your application. Alternatively, you can give our app access to your camera and microphone to supplement your application with a voice or video presentation. To help you stay on top of things, we store your communication and application history for you.

Contact Information

Optionally, you can register in the app to save your results data permanently. When you register, we ask you for contact information to create your account, verify your identity, and provide you with important information about your account. For example, we may ask for your first name, last name, or email address.

Location Data

In order to suggest suitable jobs to you, we may ask you for the location where you would like to search for jobs. Optionally, you can give us access rights to your current location. Alternatively, you can enter a location yourself.

Referral to Contact List.

Optionally, we offer you to participate in our referral program. You can recommend our app to your friends and contacts. To make this as easy as possible for you, you can optionally give us access rights to your contact list. After that, we can show you within our app who else from your friends you can invite.

Communicating With Us

If you contact us (e.g. via contact form within the app, by email or phone), your request including all resulting personal data (e.g. name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.

Passively collected Metadata.

When you use our app, we automatically collect and store certain metadata, for example, to enable security-related features of our app. In addition, we use metadata to personalize your user experience, improve our service, or provide more specific assistance with your requests. For example, we collect the IP address, browser information, device number, time zone, or operating system of your smartphone.

When collecting passive metadata, we sometimes use third-party software. The use of these third-party providers is based on a balancing of interests on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f) DSGVO. Our interest is that Aivy functions in a user-friendly and technically flawless manner for you. Personal data is not collected as far as possible. You can deactivate the collection of passive metadata by third-party providers at any time without giving reasons in the settings within the app or by sending an email to

  • Firebase Analytics (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) allows us to better understand usage patterns of the app and thus optimize the user experience. To do this, Firebase Analytics uses cookies to transfer information about your generic IDs, timestamps, device information (operating system, browser version and type), the app version and geo-information to their servers, where it is stored anonymously.
  • Clarity (Microsoft Corp., One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052 USA) helps us track user movements within the web app to make our web app more user-friendly and valuable. II. Your Rights

You have certain rights when we process your personal data. We would like to inform you about your rights here. Please read this information carefully:

Your Right of Access, Deletion and Correction.

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin, recipients and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to correct or delete this data. For this purpose, as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us by e-mail at any time.

Your Right to Revoke Consent to Data Processing.

Many data processing operations are only possible with your consent. We will explicitly ask for your consent before we start processing your data. You can revoke this consent at any time later. For this purpose, an informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Your Right to Object to Data Processing.

If the processing of your personal data is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) DSGVO, you have the right to object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions. You also have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing. This also applies to profiling, insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. To object, an informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient.

Your Right to Restrict Data Processing.

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do this, you can contact us by e-mail at any time. If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data - apart from its storage - may only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Your Right to Non-Fully Automated Decision Making.

You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated data processing that would have legal or other significant consequences for you. Our app collects and processes your data to help you make career choices. In addition, you can use your profile to apply to companies of your choice. A final decision about your professional future is your own. The final decision about an application is up to you and the company to which you apply with your profile. If you have the impression that a decision was made without human intervention, please contact us immediately by e-mail.

Your Right to Data Portability.

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract transferred to yourself or to a third party designated by you in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of your data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as this is technically feasible.

Your Right to Complain to a Supervisory Authority.

If you have the impression that we violate existing data protection laws, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Your right to complain exists independently of any other administrative or judicial remedies.

The relevant legal basis will be specified separately in this privacy policy, if applicable.

Sharing your Data with Third Parties.

Except as otherwise stated or specified in this privacy policy, we will not disclose your personal data to third parties unless you have given your express consent to do so, unless it is with our service providers, such as our hosting service provider, or unless we are required to disclose it, for example, pursuant to a court or administrative order.

Protection of Your Data.

We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the legal requirements are observed both by us and by external service providers working for us.

When we work with service providers, such as email and server providers, to provide our service, each individual service provider is carefully assessed for its suitability in connection with technical and organizational capabilities in data protection. With an order processing contract, we obligate these service providers to protect your data and not to pass it on to third parties.

Your data is stored on specially protected servers. Access to it is only possible for a few specially authorized persons. If we transmit your data, the transmission of your data is always done via an encrypted connection. Nevertheless, we expressly point out that data transmission on the Internet can have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

General Storage Period of Your Data.

Unless otherwise stated or specified within this privacy policy, the personal data collected by this app will be stored until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. If there is a legal obligation to store the data or another legally recognized reason for storing the data (e.g. legitimate interest), the personal data in question will not be deleted until the respective reason for storing the data no longer applies.

Modification of this Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time in compliance with legal requirements. We will of course inform you of any changes.
